For deployments that include traffic counting or in-store analytics cameras:

General guidance​

  • Mount cameras to capture entry/exit points without obstruction.
  • Avoid direct backlighting (e.g. facing large windows or doors) which can reduce detection accuracy.
  • Maintain the manufacturer's recommended mounting height and angle for the specific camera model in use.
  • Confirm camera placement covers 100% of store entrances for accurate footfall counting.
